Make way for Gorgeous Dre the freshest and most seasoned voice to come up of the

rhyme-soaked streets of Northern California in awhile. Born in Seattle, WA and raised in

Los Angeles, Gorgeous Dre is not only one of the strongest talents to emerge from the

Bay Area, he's also one of its most unique personalities.

Rising up from the streets, the son of a pimp, Gorgeous Dre learned the street game

inside out and watched as many got rich pretending to do what he did to survive.

Andre "Gorgeous Dre" Taylor has done what so many talk about. He made

money, bought jewels, fancy cars- all the things that people dream of- while on the streets.

But, after a rich life that has taken him from the streets to an international lifestyle, designer

clothes and mansions Gorgeous Dre has decided to pick up the microphone and speak life

giving words as well as challenge the entertainment industry.

"I have a lot tosay. I'm speaking words of life," Dre points out. "I want to say things that

can change people's lives. What I'm doing now is setting the record straight,"

Dre continues. "The stories I'm telling, the messages that I have are real."

His realness combined with this experience and musical talents have already gained

him attention nationally and internationally. Gorgeous Dre has performed with Above The

Law, Mac Dre, Young Dubee, Mr. III, Mac & AK as well as The 2 Live Crew, Kokane

and Xzibit. Dre live is a definite visual and aural treat. At Gavin's Sessions and Rap

Sheet's Hip Hop Convention Dre stunned the audience with his energy and stage presence.

With the debut release of THE BIG PIMP, Dre takes the street and his many life

lessons to the public. In Gorgeous Dre's words, what he does is: "kick reality over the mic."

THE BIG PIMP is packed with twelve tracks, of chewy NorCal funk: lots of slinky

keyboards whirling around thick-n-chunky bass. This self-produced effort shows Dre's

talents.

"There's nothing shallow on THE BIG PIMP," Dre notes. "There's something for

everybody. There's pimping stories if you like that, stories about life and stories for the

ladies on the album."

Tracks like "If The Shoe Fits Wear It!" point out the perpetrators of the game, while

"Take You On A Ride" is a lazy drift through the good and bad times with real friends.

According to Dre "For Ladies Only," his first single, is a whole different point of view of

macking, the softer and gentler side; the romantic and loving side.
